Motorbike Taxi Driver Killed Following Apparent Random Shooting

Featured Replies

Just before 2am on Wednesday, Police Colonel Somnook, the Chief of Banglamung Police, attended the scene of an apparent murder which occurred on the Sukumvit Road. At the scene was the body of Khun Somporn aged 33 who worked as a motorbike taxi driver in Laem Chabang. He had been shot in his left shoulder and in the center of his head and was lying next to his fallen motorbike. A friend and work colleague of the victim, Khun Gamon aged 32 explained that the pair were returning home from a night out on their individual motorbikes. As they arrived at the scene of the shooting, a group of 4 young men on motorbikes approached from behind and one of them produced a gun and shot into the air three times. Khun Somporn then revved up his bike and was preparing to leave at speed but one of the gang members then directed the gun towards him and shot him dead. Police are confident that the victim had no prior disagreements with the gang and Police believe this to be yet another random shooting occurring in the Pattaya and Banglamung area.

The Policee must take stronger action to prevent the violence by youth gangs!

Is the random shooting verdict in the class as suicide? Something to put in a press interview for "I don't know what happened".
