Happy new year all!

Thinking about going to koh si chang for a few days,Does anyone know what its like and have any recommendations about where to stay?

Also thinking about about koh laan.

any ideas?

there are a couple hundred current Koh Si Chang photos at [visualthailand.com] beaches photo tab start page 5 and on from the starting ferry and around the whole island

OH, I went a few years ago..

There is a farang guy with a restaurant and some accommodation near where I stayed. REally nice people. I'll try and find the info

Totster :)

We spent two nights there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Very quiet and relaxed (except for when they broadcast the monks chanting at the wat all over town!) We stayed at a great little place on the far side of the island from the pier, set up on a cliff with beautiful views. I think it was the Sri Phitsanu Bungalows.

The restaurant someone else mentioned is Pan and David's Restaurant. We ate there one night - good food and very friendly.

The hardest part of the trip was finding the pier in Siricha where the boat leaves. The boat, by the way, is pretty basic. I wouldn't try the crossing in the rainy season or when a storm was expected.

Have fun!
