Looking For Vinyl Records

Featured Replies

Hi, I will be visiting Thailand again for the 3rd time from 11-01-10 till

07-02-10 :

i am an avid fan and collector of records,

i hope, next to the regular backpackdeluxe-tour, to do

some searchin'and hopefully finding. I know lots of mainly 7'singles/e.p.'s have been produced way back,

Who can help me out??

Who knows maybe where to find/ come across them?

in Bangkok or maybe some other place in Thailand.

(I will also visit Korat and Ubon Ratchatani)

Thanxalot in advance

and sincere regards

Sjaak (Jack) Seegers

If I remember correctly then there is a shop in Fortune City (next to Rama9 underground station), but they sell mostly LPs. I a collector too, but my source of supply is Ebay and internet shops. If there are any particular records you want then try to search on

Have a nice trip and happy hunting.

Right next to the skytrain at Ratchatewi there is a second hand record store, the store is located in an area called coco walk, right by the stairs as you exit the skytrain.

There's a few secondhand record shops in China Town that would be worthy you taking a look at. They're on Charoen Krung, near the Thieves market.

I was an avid collector back in the UK but left all my vinyl behind as I was conserned about the heat here (and the shipping cost). I don't even have a turntable here :)(

Any collectors here in Thailand had any issues with the Thai climate? I'd love to one day get them sent over.

There are some good places in Bangkok. Go to the top floor of the Pantip 2 centre on NgamWongwan on Sunday. They have a killer flea market with tons of vinyls. Also, you can try Klong Thom Market near Chinatown on Saturday and Sunday. Korat has nothing, but you can try the saveone market nightly.
