Khlong Tan Overpass to be partially closed from Jan 16

The Khlong Tan Overpass will be partially closed to traffic from January 16 onward.

"The overpass needs repair," Deputy Bangkok Governor Pornthep Techapaiboon said Wednesday.

He said the overpass would be closed in the outbound lanes between January 16 and March 1. In the next 45 days, the overpass's inbound lanes will be closed.

To ease traffic congestion during the period, Pornthep said the inbound lanes would be open to traffic between 6am and 9am every day.

Pornthep advised motorists to check out alternative routes and short cuts at www.bangkok.go.th.

Would that be the Klong Tan overpass on Sukumvit soi 71, or is there another one that I'm not aware of? It'd be nice if they said exactly what road it is on...
