reads: ‘Reach the international standard with the

morality of service’.

PATONG, PHUKET: -- Other than by email or personal visit, Patong Hospital is completely out of reach.

As the result of a telephone exchange fault, the numbers 076-342-633/4, printed in telephone directories and appearing on the first page of the hospital’s website, have been out of service for five months.

Calling the numbers does produce a ring tone, but no one can answer.

Patong Hospital Deputy Director Apantree Iamsakul said the fault should be fixed by "next month".

“If anybody wants to contact us they should call the Emergency Room on 076-340-444 or the Administrative Office on 076-344-108,” she said.

And until recently there was only a single doctor on duty and that in the day time, nurses in the evening with doctors on call and more serious cases being transferred - Bangkok/Phuket and International are only fifteen minutes further so if you can make, best to try.
