Rop Lounges

Featured Replies

For what it's worth .......

I went thru Suvarnabhumi today and notice that one of the ROP lounges in section "C" has been closed .... and also in the big ROP lounge they have closed down one of the food and drink places (the one nearest the first class section end of the lounge).

Excuse my ignorance, but what does ROP stand for?

I haven't been through departures since the first week Suvarnabhumi opened, but only arrived last month. Not much use of lounges for arrivals, I realise, so maybe this is related to departures only?

Thank you and sorry for not realising that it's a bit out of my league, as I'm not a very frequent flyer.

Too bad I like those C lounges. But since mid-2008 they have turned those C lounges into Star Alliance Gold card/Kasikorn Bank platinum lounges and that's the reason why I didn't use it. D lounge is now for Royal Silk on Thai only.

What about their E lounges?

Sounds more like the usual renovations / refurbishings.

Anyway, don't use them anymore since I signed up for Priority Pass -

the service is more or less the same but the lounges are mostly empty

plus you have access to 600+ lounges worldwide, no matter what airline

or frequent flyer program you use.
