On Friday Afternoon, Fire Rescue Units were called to an area of wasteland located next to a house owned by Dr. Richard Shainwald from USA, a member of the Rotary Club of Plu Ta Luang. In the morning he decided to burn some refuse on the plot of land next to his house but local residents became concerned when high winds caused the small fire to spread to nearby trees. Dr. Shainwald did his best to bring the fire under control himself, but realized he needed some assistance from the professionals who soon arrived and dowsed the flames. Dr. Shainwald apologized to his neighbors for the fire and thanked the fire rescue unit for attending so quickly. There was some damage to electric cables, but apart from that, no one was injured and no other properties were damaged.

hmm.

I know Thais pile up the trash in some corner and then burn it in the morning, but what's the usual way for the expat to get rid of the trash?

edit:

and what's a nail file?
