There was a time when you could get one through Immigration, then this service stopped, then it started again.

What is the situation now?

The CR for your Yellow Tambien Baan is only issued at Immigration in Thai language only. You will have no problem.

They do it at Mae Sai immigration. They have a form (in English) you fill out and then, if the bossman isn't having a fag-break or dropping the kids off at the pool and he can sign it, it's usually ready within 20-30mins. If he's 'busy' then they will mail it to you, give them 40baht and they'll put a 10baht stamp on it and it will be with you within a few days. That's my experience anyway.
