Immigration Police Arrest Suspected Agent For Underage Foreign Prostitutes

Featured Replies

In the early hours of Saturday Morning, Undercover Pattaya Immigration Officers took part in a covert operation to catch a Thai Agent who was suspected of providing underage foreign prostitutes to Thai customers. Officers, posing as customers and using marked bank notes contacted the suspected agent, Khun Gee aged 27 who would arrange for the girls to meet customers in motel rooms for a price of 4,000 Baht. Police moved in after the cash transaction took place and the suspected agent was detained with two books, one which indicated which girls had been hired and at what time and a second book showed which room had been rented. Three girls, two aged 15 and one aged 17 from the Democratic Republic of Laos were detained and all concerned parties were taken to the Immigration Office in Jomtien where the foreign girls were checked against the Immigration database to confirm if they had entered Thailand with a passport or illegally. Khun Gee is thought to be one of a number of agents operating in Pattaya and the Immigration Officers are determined to shut down the entire operation. For now Khun Gee has been charged with providing minors to customers for the purpose of prostitution and the girls were charged with working illegally in the Kingdom of Thailand. The investigation continues.
