Depression In Road Appears In North Pattaya

Featured Replies

Late on Sunday Afternoon, City Technicians were alterted to an unusual depression in the road, just outside the Bangkok Bank at the North end of Pattaya Second Road. To avoid potential accidents the affected part of the road was closed off to traffic. At first light on Monday, a digger was brought in to inspect the irregularity and it was determined that a partially collapsed cavity housing a drainage pipe, was to blame. A hole in the pipe was identified and water is thought to have leaked into the layer of sand underneath the tarmac, causing it to become unstable which led to the depression in the road. The problem was fixed on Monday Morning and to make sure the surrounding area is safe, a full inspection of the road and underlying layers of sand and stone will be closely inspected.
