Looks like one of those cheesy rooms at The Penthouse. All that orange faux stucco <deleted> on the walls would drive anyone to their wits end IMHO.

I hope the chap recovers and gets help. He's too young to be trying topping himself in paradise.

Any failed suicide attempt is a halfhearted act. Fullhearted acts are successful.

The guy definitely needs help. Hope he gets it.

Cut wrists? Typical... But cut neck? Hmmm.

Is this one of those scenarios, when a man dies cutting his head off?

Amazing Thailand!

We are not amused :)

Let's hope he lives to tell his story. I wish him well.

With respect, I find some of your statements to be spot on, but others to be not necessarily the case.

Failed attempts can fail for at least three reasons: first, the person was practicing, which you could put down to a halfhearted attempt. . Second, the person did not have the requisite information or understanding to make the attempt successful. Third, fortuitous intervention by a third party. In the same vein, full-hearted acts are not always successful, often for the same second and third reasons as above. Sorry, I can't quote you figures, for now it's just anecdotal evidence from the clinic I worked at.

Agreed the man needs help, and I too hope he receives it and is able to move forward in a healthy manner.

Cut wrists are a fairly common means of attempt, and cuts to other parts of the body in hopes of suicide show up all the time.

I seem to recall that scenario, the head cut off and suspended from a bridge, being ruled a suicide...yeah, well... evidently they have a book they use, and that might be number 387 or something. Agreed - not amusing at all.

Thailand is not the only country where this kind of misdiagnosis of cause of death happens. Some years ago in Kentucky, if memory serves, a small-town respected citizen died; lying supine, the medical examiner looked at him and pronounced COD to be a major MI, myocardial infarction, or heart attack. Then the ambulance guys rolled him on his side to put him on the back board, and there was the knife sticking out of the poor guy's back.

We are not alone :D

Maybe a video tutorial would be a good business idea here in pattaya.
