how can you fall from the 16th floor and land on the 6th floor, surely if you fell from the balcony of your room you'd land on the pavement below.too odd for words, but i'm sure it was suicide..............open and shut case, next one please.

Miracles are always going against the laws of gravity, aerodinamics and common sense.

For example: implosion of the World Trade Centre, both buildings, and in accordance with demolition science.

More to the point how could they possibly see him on a 6th floor balcony from the 16th floor, and <deleted> were they doing 'checking' on him at 5am??

Yes agree! What the hel_l, staff checking up the guests at hrs 05.00, no really???? What concerns Ambassador Hotel , is it not possible to look down to floor 6th??? Just asking, sure??

Really fantastic police here in Thailand, and especially in Pattaya and Bangkok. They can determine directly on the spot that this is a suicide where ever they go. They must be much much better than both Sherlock Holmes and Dear Mr. Watson

Yes i agree, only 32 and just 10 days into his stay...I would like to know the statistics for "jumpers" in Pattaya comparable to other cities around the globe!! It just happens far to much.

It must be the number one place in the world for this...i mean in Bangkok you just very rarely hear about suicide leapers to much, they can"t all be "suicides" can they??

Rest in peace.

I'm not that tall and honestly if the average hotel railing in Pattaya were raised 6 inches, I think lots of these suicides would disappear. Most railings I've encountered hit me above center of mass, but close enough that I could easily lean over and go. Or with momentum go over. For anyone taller or top heavy, going over the rail accidentally would be easy.

Go out on the balcony while drunk, misjudge the rail, and with no signs of foul play, it's a suicide. Even if someone really is suicidal, I think the extra effort required to go over a higher rail might be enough to make a few think twice.

This building's rails look higher than most though. About belly button height on the Thais in the picture. The bad thing in this case is if you're ever on the 6th floor of the Ocean Wing of the Ambassador, you have to wonder if that was the balcony.
