Drug Bust In Pattaya: Iranian And Thai Arrested

An Iranian national found to be in possession of an expired passport and the class-1 illegal drug Ya-Ice has been arrested. Further investigations uncovered a more substantial quantity of the illegal substance located at the residence of the man and his Thai wife, who has now also been arrested on distribution and possession charges.

Pattaya 21st February 2010 [PDN] At 00.10am, a sting operation conducted by Pattaya superintendant Lieutnant General Colonel Nunthawut Suwanla-ong, Police Lieutenant General Grisakorn Thong-Inn and Police Captain Jumras Thaong Jinda, resulted in the apprehension and arrest of an Iranian man, Mr. Amir Hoshang Meskarloo, [42] in Soi Dtang-moh [buakao]. He was found to be in possession of 0.40gram of Yah-Ice, worth 2,000 baht and a motorbike. He was taken to Pattaya police station for further investigation.

I wonder if this has any link to the increasing number of drug busts of Arabs at the airport recently?

Is there a big Arab to Arab drug market here, growing with the number of tourists from Arab countries?

Your right the pictures tell a different story and evidence found was around 328,000 baht. Looks more like .4 kilograms.
