Q3 yes

Q4 no, the application fee can be paid on the date of the interview

The letter she recieved from the embassy will tell you why she wasn't granted the visa.

It might be useful for us to know the actual reasons for refusal in order to advise you properly

Hi Cuddleypete,

I would suggest that it's not worth the effort applying for a visit visa as your wife has already signalled her intention to settle in the UK by previously seeking a settlement visa. Consequently, the visa officer would not accept that she intends to leave the UK at the end of her visit.

If the sole grounds for refusal of the settlement visa were that you had insufficient funds, then reapply when you are in better financial shape. If there are other reasons, these will have to be addressed, too. I hope that you filed your wife's appeal when the settlement visa was refused?

By the way, Hastings was one of my immigration stamping grounds. There's many an immigration offender I've nicked there. Ah, the good old days.........

Sorry to hear your bad news. :o

Settlement visas are paid up front when you submit the application, and hand in any supporting documents.

when we went and handed in the visa application (about a month ago ) the next date for a settlement interview was the 7th of july. so add a month and a bit onto that for a rough idea of when the next date would be.

my GF was asked questions about me she was in there 5 minutes.

Was we engaged or married.

what i did for a job.

where we met.

why she loved me.

what we did when we were together.

how many times i have seen her.

how long we have known each other.

when she wanted to go to england.

i think that was about it.

i think like scouser said it would be better if you told everyone why she was refused, that way more people may be able to help you.
