I guess some would say that going to Pattaya is a stairway to heaven.

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold

And she's buying the stairway to heaven.

When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed

With a word she can get what she came for.

Pretty appropriate if you change the gender in the lyrics

I find that very hard to believe - why on earth would a wealthy rockstar want to go there?

Then again my brother in law sold him Alastair crowley's house and he was a bit weird.

as is Ken Morley - Reg Holdsworth from British soap Coronation Street

The OP asked about famous visitors :)

he may not be as famous as some but he is a lot funnier than most of the miserable 'stars' i have met

It could be Page in that photograph, but I'm not certain.

It looks like him, but he looks like he has been on a holiday, rather than this pic

David gray, not so long ago in the top 10 of the world snooker players.Good mate of jimmy white and he also made himself famous in the news clippings forum.

I was going to mention DG when I saw Jimmy White mentioned. I played a few games of pool with his (Gray's) practice partner in a bar on Soi Baukhao a couple of years ago. They both kept disappearing to the bogs at regular intervals to, erm, powder their noses. Did any more come from the story?

I'm still in shock at Stephen Hendry playing an exhibition in the Queen Vic!

Definitely Page....I also saw him coming out of Nana Plaza not long after watching him play at the Olympics closing ceremony and did an embarrassing double-take :)
