Hi all ,

Just wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to travel to Australia from Thailand to obtain a one year visa after my first year expires if I am a UK national . I would like to save costs by flying to OZ instead of the UK to get a new one year . Will I be allowed to apply for a one year visa in an Australian Thai embassy as a UK national with a permanent address in Thailand , and if so , can I get a one year " O " type visa , the same as I can get in the UK with just a letter of guarantee or an invite to meet relatives or friends in Thailand ?

Thankin you

I seriously doubt your good looks are going to get you such a visa at the Embassy but perhaps at a smaller Consulate your luck would be better. Someone with current information should be able to answer better.
