Hi,

I use Yahoo all the time and do not get any Yahoo ads.

1. Get FIREFOX

2. Get this extension (add-in) ADBLOCK

3. Import THIS into Adblock (latest list).

Do the above and you will not get ads in Yahoo. Also with Adblock a little icon appears next to ads that are not listed, click on it if you don't like viewing the ad and it will be added to your ad block list. You can also use *.* to get rid of all ads from an advertiser.

open this file with notepad

C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

edit and save the file with an extra line for example

127.0.0.1  ad.doubleclick.net

see how that works for you.

Or replace your hosts file with the one you can download from here:

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

...will block not only doubleclick but thousands of other ad sites as well...

Hi

open this file with notepad

C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

how do I do that ?

once you have found the file... highlight it with a left click , rightclick on it and select ..open with .. though as it has no file extension a double click on the file should bring up the .. open with dialog box . just scroll down the list of programs till you come to notepad
