Its about 3 months away from when Im going to submitt the application, Iv opened a new bank account and hear you need 6 months of bank statements. I will only be able to bring with me 3, is this a problem?

Also roughly how much is needed in there? I hear its not important, but there must be a range that the officer looks for, as a minimun requirement?

Work, im working now and will be for the next 3 months with an emplyment agencie, this has a high chance of going full-time, and I can show 3 months of weekly payslips for when I submitt the app. Is this a problem? Are they looking for only Full time employers or is Full-time but on a temporary contract ok.

So would 3 months bank statements be ok?

Roughly how much are they looking for in bank?

Is temporary full-time work ok with the visa officer?

Thanks in advance :o

Westybrook,

The reason why the visa officer asks for bank statements is to make sure that you have money coming in and out, and that the money coming in is sufficient to take care of you and your wife-to-be. You can explain to the visa officer that you've only had the account for 3 months, hence only 3 statements but he will wonder why you've chosen to open a new account and why you didn't want him to see details of the previous one. You don't need to have savings, but, generally speaking, need to demonstrate that your income is greater than your outgoings.

In terms of your employment, temporary work is not necessarily a barrier to your g/f getting her visa, but the visa offcier will want to be satisfied that the work is likely to continue once your g/f gets to the UK. If he believes that you're only working in order to build up a positive history, and that you'll stop once your g/f arrives, then he'll refuse the visa. If your work is not going to be continuous you may have to ask your family to provide a financial guarantee.

Cheers,

Scouse.
