a waitress in the Bulls Head told me there's a problem between the distributor in Thailand, and whoever it is that makes Guinness for Asia. Don't know what that problem is, but I hope they find a new distributor soon!!

Guinness has finished in Thailand. Fluid Asia Pacific have started bringing in a new stout, Dwyers, smoother and less bitter than Guinness. Should be good for them now that Guinness has gone.

I did notice its missing from the shops, but 200B is taking the piss. Its absence does seem to have coincided with the appearance of irish perry

I was told that Heineken (Asia Pacific Brewery) will do the distribution in the near future.

Guinness has out prices its self even in the UK, many pubs are changing to Murphy's, as it can be sold almost a £ cheaper

Dont drink the stuff but noticed that our "Weatherforks" is knocking it out on a Monday night (but not over BHs) at £1-79 Pint.

They had some others last year for 99 p but think gone up a bit...still good value.

Remember in the bad old days that Delanys first imported it from Singers/Malaysia and again from memory was flogging it at something stupid like ....399 Bt a throw. :)

That was when the £=40 /$=25.... :D so really the price has come way DOWN over the years.

Incid had Fish & Chips in above Weathers today +peas/trimmings ...and a Capucino...wifee thinks its great and for

£2-99.each (145Bt)...cheaper than anywhere back "ome. :D even I cant complain :D

Hi Jingthing, yes, Dwyers is smoother and less bitter because that is how we at Fluid Asia Pacific wanted it. It was never meant as a replacement for Guinness, as it is impossible to replace Guinness. This was meant as an alternative, but coincided with the disappearance of Guinness. We can't please everybody as everyone has specific likes and dislikes. It is doing it's job very well as an alternative Stout.
