Does anybody remember the incident Bjork had in Bangkok at Don Muang? She attacked a Thai female TV reporter after she had arrived quite viciously. I saw it on TV and found this snippet about it:

"Christmas 1995 saw Björk’s hit revival of “It’s Oh So Quiet,” a remarkable vocal theatric, backed by string quartet The Brodsky Quartet and classical percussionist Evelyn Glennie. In 1996 she was awarded Best Female International Artist award at the Brits, turning up and hiding behind boyfriend Goldie. However, the overreactive shyness (and perceived threat to her family’s privacy) drove her to thump a TV camerawoman at Bangkok airport a few days later, helping to dispel the Björk-as-cuddly-elf myth."

So much for her!

It is my understanding that Icelandic people are quite intelligent and all very fluent in English. Never been there so I can't verify this but I would love to visit and try out the hot spring pool.

I also heard that the labia of an Icelandic woman greatly exceeds that of any other.

Is this true?

You go there and find out, partner. :o

She is 'violently happy' like her countrymen, which means they look happy but can snap any time. Beware.

Also, did you see the pictures from when she smacked that journalist woman? If you haven't, I can understand why you condemn her. But those journalists behaved like a stampeding horde of wildebeest - speaking of which, here you can improve your swearing in other languages. (I especially recommend the Greek and Italian ones): The Twatlas

I have just remembered one aspect of Iceland that was quite amusing. We stayed in the S.A.S. Radisson Hotel in Reyjkavik. It was a fairly good hotel, with one of the best breakfasts I've eaten. The Icelandic bread is fantastic. That wasn't the amusing part though. On the cable T.V. broadcast to the rooms, there was one pure hardcore sex channel. Of course that was extra, and you had to book it with the delicious blonde receptionist downstairs.Iceland, just like it's Scandanavian counterparts is totally flipant about sexual matters. It's just a way of life, and no big deal at all.I have lived in Sweden,so I know it. I just wonder about the normal middle-aged conservative typical English couple.

Just checking your advice.

I heard that girls from Iceland often give blokes the cold shoulder...  :o

totster  :D

Like the saying: "I don't know, but I've been told Iceland P U S S Y is mighty cold"?

Midrange hotels in Bangkok such as Amari also have a hardcore porn channel...

But yes, Scandinavia is a bit more relaxed about sex and nudity, and probably will be for another 10 years or so, before we are totally flooded by American (double) morals and radical feminists (whereever they gather strength and inspiration from?). Not everybody is of the opinion it's a good thing that there is hardcore porn on late-night cable tv.

It just... is. :o

There was talk of a job a lil while back Scamp. Whatever happened ?

There's been talk of several, it's all a bit of a mess. :o

Come on Scamp, you tell us everything else! Spill the beans! I remember Vietnam, Scotland, Wales et al.

What happened,? what are your skills,? are you a salesman by any chance? I have several business contacts in Oxfordshire.

You never know!

Maybe he wants to offer you a position? :D

Hmmm...

Would it do me any good to post my CV on here?

I don't think I could, I've always been very honest when posting on this forum. :D
