How can I block on my computer browsers some site that my kids can’t go to

Go to the Internet Forum on TV and ask.

A start is: My kids usually use Google to find their game sites. Set Google Safe Search to Strict. A small step.

If it is just one or a few sites you want to block you can add them to the host file. (under the etc folder, under windows/system32/drivers somewhere)

Otherwise you can probably block them in the router (depending on the router you have)...

The best thing is to put the computer in the living room or in the kitchen so that you can see what the kids are up to. They will probably know about the host file already...

Otherwise, a free way, and one that depends on you knowing the sites, is to edit your hosts file, and enter the url's to point to your own localhost, eg:

www.naughtysite.com 127.0.0.1

www.notforkids.com 127.0.0.1

This will disable DNS and make the mentioned site unreachable.

Of you could set up parental controls and limit your kids access.

Unfortunately there is no possible way that you can completely safeguard children from undesirable material on the Internet.

The only way is to actually sit with them by the computer and watch what they`re doing.

Otherwise it is advisable not to give children, say, under the age of 14, access to the Internet at all.

Go to Control Panel and Internet Alternatives. Click Content And Classification. There you can adapt an entry for your children with limitations to what they have access to without passwords. You keepyour entry as your Mod with your password allowing you to use everything. I assume you already use a password for opening your pc.
