5 suspected thieves who targeted foreign-owned houses, caught by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA: -- On Friday Afternoon at Sattahip Police Station, Police Major General Niwat, the Deputy Commander of Region 2 Police, held a press conference to announce the arrest of 5 men who are thought to have committed a number of break-ins in the Sattahip and Pattaya areas. They would target only houses occupied by foreigners and at the press conference an array of stolen items worth over 3 Million Baht, were on show. At the station were a number of foreign house owners who were asked to identify their stolen belongings. Their latest case of theft occurred on 26th May at the Phoenix Lakeside Village in the Huoy Yai area. The house is owned by Mr. Rolf and Mrs. Verena Seiler from Switzerland and they revealed how Mr. Sieler was struck over the head by one of the assailants who was carrying bolt-cutters while Mrs. Sieler was bound and gagged.

Lock the thieves up and throw away the keys...and their boltcutters. These were violent break-ins and hopefully the thieves will get extra l....o....n....g sentences.

With any luck they well be able to hit those high C's when singing. :)

I heard about this breakin a few days ago. Friends of friends. I think they actually stole the entire safe! Tore it right out of the wall. Glad they finally caught these buggers.

Beardog: Any of these guys look familiar?????
