90 Day Reporting

Featured Replies

Hi,Myself and my family are English and live in Chiang Mai. Our two children have education visas renewable annually. We have annual visas which are not multi entry as we have dependants in full time education....all fine.My question.......we report every 90 days, usually to Chiang Mai Immigration. We will be in Hua Hin for my husbands work when our next date is due. Is it OK to report at Hua Hin Immigration.......or do we have to report at our 'home' office in Chiang Mai?At CM immigration they said they thought it would be OK......but thought i'd better check.Thank-you!

You have to report to the immigration office for the area you live in. Most immigration offices allow you to report by mail.

For the procedure to report by mail: Immigration Bureau

Ask if CM-immigration allow you to do by mail. The law states that it is allowed to do it by mail.

For 90 day address reporting it can be done by mail. Download form TM47 fill it out with copies of your photo passport page, visa page, date of reporting slip, which at some point previously immigration would have stapled in your passport and both sides of the departure/arrival card that should be stapled in your passport. You can mail this to your immigration office, include a stamped $10 Bhat self addressed envelope for immigration to send you confirmation. Send this by registered mail and keep the receipt from the post office with the envelope registration number. It should be received by immigration within a window of 7 days before or after your reporting is due. Keep a copy of the TM47 page for yourself and your records. I recommend sending it about 10 days before the reporting date allowing 3 to 4 days for delivery.

I Think that is all. Although a more senior member may add more comments.

Some immigration offices now insist that if you report by mail, you should send it before the date you are supposed to report. You don't have 7 days after the date in that case.

Thanks for all your help. We're off to CM office now to see if they'll accept a postal reporting. They tend to be very good there in our experience, so we're hopeful.........
