Singha beer golf course is due completion March 2011. 120 Rai course on the road towards Phuktien. Its being marketed as a package for ASEAN countries but should throw up good competition for the overpriced Hua Hin courses.

Where exactly is this new golf course ? I stay between Cha-Am and Hua Hin near Springfield on the beach and would be interested in comparing prices with Palm Hills, Majestic and Lakeview etc. cause their prices are a Falang rip-off.

Its the other side of Cha am, on the road towards Phuktien, completion isnt untill next year.

As long as we're on the subject of golf, I'm sure many of you know but maybe some don't, that there is also another new course near completion in Takiab on the beach just south of the main town. It's an 18 hole military course that stretches from south Takiab to Suan Song beach park. I walked parts of it recently (from the beach) and it is a beautiful course. I asked one of the grounds keepers working there and he said it was due to open in September or October.

Don't know except that they are both military courses. There are military bases all around Hua Hin so maybe it was meant for them so that they don't have to go all the way to Pranburi. As you drive down the highway immediately past Takiab you will see a new fence that runs for a long way. That's the course. It is accessible on foot from the beach south of Takiab mountain for viewing. Just walk south past the row of restaurants and the first open space you come to is the course. It looks like it will be really nice with holes right along the ocean. I think the entrance and clubhouse will probably be at the south end at Suan Song on the road opposite the driving range (with the PTT station on the corner).
