I signed up for the TOT 12Mbps/1Mbps package and hooked up the TOT 'TP Link' Wireless Modem. The connection is as follows, am I getting 13.6Mbps or only 8 ?

And of course the practical maximum bandwidth would be around 80% of that.

Make sure your modem ADSL Mode is set for AutoSync or ADSL2+. If you had a lower speed service before on the same modem the modem may not have automatically switched for plain old ADSL (8Mb is the upper limit). This mode setting will probably be under an Advanced Setup menu. You may also have to adjust your ADSL Type (i.e., Annex A, I, J, L, or M). Then again, maybe TOT has you misidentified as a 8Mb user and you will have to call them to fix/update.
