Mystery surrounds apparent suicide of American’s Thai Wife in North Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Thursday Morning, Police Colonel Nantawoot, the Chief of Pattaya Police, was one of many senior officers who responded to a report of a suspected suicide of a Thai Women at a house in the Romance Grand View Village in Soi Thai Udom in North Pattaya. Officers were confronted by Mr. Charlie Shehane aged 52 from USA, who directed officers to the lounge area and to the body of his wife, Mrs. Rawipha Shehane aged 38. She was sitting on the sofa with her legs placed on a coffee table. Under her right hand was a loaded revolver and next to the sofa was an empty bullet casing.

I wish the police would do the same when a farang commits suicide!

A bullet casing next to revolver purportedly after someone commited suicide with it....that doesn't make sense. I've never seen a revolver that ejected the spent casings.

Is this just Bad reporting or a Bad job of proof reading. "Under her right hand was a loaded revolver and next to the sofa was an empty bullet casing."

When was the last time you saw a bullet casing fly out of a revolver? Normally you have to open the revolver to remove the spent shell, unless they have invented

a new type of revolver that expels the shells one by one after firing.

But if it's murder, someone's winding up on World's Dumbest Criminals.

As usual the PDN has a different version. The ages are different, the husband was out at the time of the shooting and not on the first floor as pattaya one's report states. They show the note which appears to be a will. The "empty shell casing" is the expended bullet.
