PATTAYA: -- We continue our daily insight into the often dangerous world of the Royal Thai Navy Narcotics Unit, who are expanding their operations further outside of the Sattahip area as time goes on. On Friday Afternoon, they conducted an operation in Huoy Yai, on the outskirts of Pattaya following the arrest of a drugs user in the Bang Sarai area. Khun Tosawat aged 26 was initially detained and agreed to help the officers to catch his drug supplier, Khun Tirayoot aged 19. He met up with the suspected drug dealer and handed over 28,000 Baht in exchange for 200 Yabba Tablets

Why is the Navy involved in narcotics control in a civilian area and apparently not involving military personnel?

Why is the Navy involved in narcotics control in a civilian area and apparently not involving military personnel?

Just a guess but might be because the guys that are supposed to do something about it are on the dealers payroll.

And it also makes it harder for the navy grunts to get involved in drugs. A very good thing i think. The Navy seem to get far better results than the police for some reason :whistling::rolleyes:
