Good Hotel Or Guest House In Penang

Featured Replies

Stayed at The Crystal Guesthouse on Chulia Street around your price range, mind that was about three years ago but it was brand new then and the staff were great.

Penang now has a Tunes Hotel, almost brand new3 and great value as are all the Tunes hotels in Malaysia.

I've heard the Swiss Hotel is a good deal and has well appointed rooms.

I had stay in Sunway Hotel Georgetown before for around 1800 baht. 600-1000 baht you might not be able to enjoy the accomadation comfortably. Depends on individuals, pay a little bit more to enjoy the vacation. Take a few miinute visit my Penang Blog, it might help. Enjoy! http://sunnyhor.blog...0&max-results=7

I can highly recommend Old Penang Guest House on Love Lane, around 50 ringgit a night for clean, comfortable rooms in a charming old (but restored) rowhouse.

53 Love Lane, Penang. T: (04) 263 8805

There is no shortage of places to stay in Penang but I would not stay on Chulia. Very crowded, noisy and polluted.

Hutton House, relatively newly opened Old Penang (always full). Bunch of cheapies of Muntri/Campbell. Upscale at end of Chulia about RM60-100and heading down toward the water are a few.

You could stay at the E&O or the Chong Tze Fatt house :-))
