Featured Replies

No Hurricanes here, only Typhons. ;)

No typhons either, onlu typhoons. But not now,, just storms. If you want to know about typhoons, go to The Thai Meteorological Bureau web site, click on storm tracking.Typhoons NEVER reach Bkk., but Southern Isarn does get the rain ,but not the wind.The typhoons start East of the Phillipines, most go to China, but some do come to Southern Isarn.

Call it Typhon, Hurricane, Topical Depression, either way it's f+ing wet.

* "hurricane" (the North Atlantic Ocean, the Northeast Pacific Ocean east of the dateline, or the South Pacific Ocean east of 160E)

* "typhoon" (the Northwest Pacific Ocean west of the dateline)

* "severe tropical cyclone" (the Southwest Pacific Ocean west of 160E or Southeast Indian Ocean east of 90E)

* "severe cyclonic storm" (the North Indian Ocean)

* "tropical cyclone" (the Southwest Indian Ocean)

* "f+ing wet" (Bangkok)

Nice little storm that ran over all of Bangkok this afternoon/Wednesday evening. Definitely some high winds and heavy rain.

Typhoon Gay in 1989 originated in the Gulf of Thailand and killed some 500 people including 91 oil rig workers from the Seacrest.
