west coast of clare, better than the west coast of Thailand for sure.

Tiny nong Prang from Pattaya, great moralm singer who should have made it big, lots like her around. Sometimes it's their poor contacts, prima donna attitude, or just bad luck.

Jackie, the album of Jintala's that I was bemoaning is not on you tube was in this vein, faster and sung with much greater power and depth, but the same rhythm

and melody lines. love it!

555, not sure about that, I lived in Connemara, co Galway for a while, beautiful scenery, lovely people but did it rain! ' A day for the high stool was a popular expression, meaning drink all day in the pub due to rain!

Issan and Eire have a lot in common:,friendly people, great music, family ties and a love of drinking!

Kourosh Yaghmaei - Gole Yakh (Iran, 1974)

Sweet song from 70's Persian rock musician Kourosh Yaghmei's first album. Great times before Iran was infested and hijacked by medieval islam idiots.

I was in Connermara in 1985, amazing place. I have got the jin but not managed to get it up yet

Ned Sublette - Ghost Riders in the Sky

Great Merengue version of an old standard!

This is a day late, it should be a Valentine Day's song but actually it applies to any man married to a Thai woman, and there are many of us so blessed.

Perhaps Gene had a teerak we never knew about.

She don't care about time!

Boulpik performing Nèg Dafrik - Real Haitian roots music.

I am not going to go through 175 pages to listen to this again.

It just reminds me of nice summer evenings in my youth.

If you have a decent SW radio listen for Radio Farda (Freedom). Google them for their

frequencies. Lots of banter and great Persian R & R which I really like as I did a stint

in Iran with the USG pre Kohmeini days down in Bandar Abbas & up in Esfahan. Good

music venues back then & great bands. Kiosk is one of my all time persian bands....their

music is available on te web...have a Google.

Here's a link to their frequencies...

Wouldn't it be more simple to Google them and just start listening thro the web browser? My SW radio hasn't seen a new set of batteries put in it for at least 10 years.smile.png
