July 11, 200520 yr I'm from the UK and I'd like to stay in Thailand for as long as possible, leaving the country as few times as possible. The rules seem so ambiguous. I wont be working and am not old enough for a retirement visa, i will just be supporting myself with savings. What's the maximum I can stay with a multiple entry tourist visa and how do I do it? thanks a lot.
July 12, 200520 yr You could get a triple entry and with extension and visa runs make it last 9 months.. Or you could apply to hull before you come for a non imm O.. Check Hulls website..
July 12, 200520 yr Dave. As previously suggested, apply to Hull for a multi-entry non-o based on visiting friends and family. You will need a letter of guarantee from someone (they don't need to be Thai or in Thailand) saying that they will bail you out to fly home if you run out of cash. You get a 90 day stamp every time you enter using this visa. This visa will get you up to 15 months in Thailand if you time the visa runs correctly. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I am in the US though, not the UK. I would like to spend a while there but do not have work, marriage, or retirement. This sounds much better than a 2/3-entry tourist visa. I looked all around thaivisa.com and searched the forum and cannot find the "previous suggestion." All other posts/articles I could find about non-O visas described onerous work permit requirements.
