What a great day. Good conversation, GREAT food, wow meat loaf, what a nice surprise. We didn't manage to solve all the ills of the world, but I think we came close clap2.gif

Thank you all for a wonderful day.

Wish I had gone...I think it is the first I have missed since coming here. I couldn't take the risk with the smoke though. How many were there.

I think we had about 22. two new Germans and their Thai wifes. Two small ones as well. The menu was quite extensive and had some totally new dishes as well, German? The view was indeed intimidating but it actually kept it quite comfortable by screening the sun. I did not notice the air being bad but I did not take a jog around the lake either. Most notable was the group did not break up till almost four o'clock so it was a very enjoyable afternoon.

So far, the weather guys are predicting a nice day for the Pot Luck i.e. 29 C and partly cloudy. Appears the smoke has moderated as well.

Nice photos. I was thinking the Potluck should have an after the event menu, just to show bystanders what was one offer by all the participants :)

The nineteenth CR Pot Luck Picnic will be held at the Usual Place and time, Sunday April.. 29,, 13:00 at the CR Ag. Research Center on old CR Road.licklips.gif If you are new, back up a page or two or give me a PM if you need more details. The location is on the "pinned" map at the top of the forum page.. If the sun is out in its full fury and you have easily portable umbrellas, this maybe the time to bring them along. The tree usually works but it is always nice to have backup. This will probably be the last picnic at this location till October as we will move for the rainy season.

I was quite surprised at the crowd we had considering the heat. Wasn't really a factor. Never got a good count but there was 10 cars and a motorcycle. As always the food and company was great. Had several new attendees as well. Special mention goes to the chocolate? oat? honey? desert. I was too full to eat it at the picnic but it was enjoyed last night.

The twentieth Pot Luck Picnic will be a bit of a departure. The venue this time will be at the Harsu's home. Those that attended last May knows that is is a perfect location for an outdoor event and they are great hosts.

Sunday, May 27 at 13:00 (unless they want to change it). Same rules., Bring everything you need so as to not impose on our hosts and a SMILE.

DIRECTIONS: From CR Hospital, continue west through stoplight, Continue on San Khong Noi to next stoplight and turn left Turn right at next stoplight on to Honglee. Follow this road till you see Mae Fa Laung Gardens on right. The road to CR Country Homes is almost opposite on the right. The road bends to the left then you will see the Gate/entrance. Continue on the main road and it will take a bend to the left and then a small bridge to the right. You can not miss the house as it is the only one with a new blue roof.
