Why Do I Have To Re-Type All My Logins And Passwords Everytime I Visit Sites On The Internet

Featured Replies

Recently i have found that i need to re-type all logins and passwords every time i visit the sites i am a member of.

I have deleted all cookies but that doesn't seem to help.

What else can i do?

Cheers

Post this is the Forum Support .

He's having problems with all forum sites not just TV it seems so this is a good place.

What browser are you using, FF, IE, Chrome, etc.? Try a different browser and see if the problem is still there.

I've had the same problem with this site for the last 2-3 weeks, whether I use IE or Chrome, so any suggestions gratefully accepted.

I am having exactly the same problem and have had since the new software was introduced. I have tried everything suggested by support, but still no joy.

The OP is not clear if his problem applies only to ThaiVisa or any other sites like web-mail or other forums.

If it affects all sites and not only Thaivisa then the settings in Win and/or his browser may have been changed.

Most browsers have somewhere a setting where you can specify if they shall remember your log-in info or not.

Form my experience these days more and more websites do no longer allow your PC to save the log-in info.

I have been logged out since my first reply to this topic and have now had to log in again for this reply. None of my other regular sites are affected and this has only happened on TV since the new software was introduced.

Nothing in that thread has solved the problem for me. I now have to sign in daily.

But the OP is saying he has to sign in for ALL websites now after he deleted cookies. I've found in the past that it's the deleting of cookies that makes the websites forget your login details and re-entering them sets them all up again.

Yes, deleting ALL cookies has this effect. That's why I never do it, I only delete selectively.

This is only a guess: When I log in somewhere WIN asks me if I want it to remember my info. I select yes or no depending on site. Below the Yes/No is a tick box to let you tell WIN never to remember log-in info.

Could it be that you have accidentally ticked it at some time? I don't know how to re-activate this option though.

Be a little careful... these things introduce a "single point of entry". Normally what you want is the opposite...

Lastpass does not come with any lisence that I can see on the page and representative is saying somethhing like this:

http://forums.lastpass.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=8

which give me an alarm signal...

Roboform actually have their license easily accessible which is good but the content doesn't make me feel confident....
