Georgetown 3 Hotels...Which One?

Featured Replies

Hey

We are a couple going to Georgetown Penang for 4 days in a couple of weeks

I have been extensively searching the net and have found three hotels I am interested in

I already know Penang but the only thing I remember is Komtar which, to me,is the centre of the town: TRADERS is the closest but I have read that the rooms and the pool are rather small

Not far from there, at the ROYAL HOTEL (ony 600 metres from Komtar) I can get an executive room for 2/3 of the price of the hotel above but the swimming pool is smaller

lLast the NORTHAM ALL SUTES: I have difficulties knowing how far it is from Komtar but it seems that it is a great hotel with nice and big suites , swiming pool and fitness

Which one would you go for , keeping in mind that we want to walk around, enjoy the food and be close the night scene , if any, have a nice swimming pool?

I may be be wrong basing my research in regards of Komta (correct me if I am wrong , Thanks)

Thanks for your help

Thanks It looks ok, inexpensive, near Komtar and a pool but I do not read great reviews about it

The Yeng Keng gets a lot of rave reviews, I'm assuming your budget won't stretch to the Eastern & Oriental ? Well at least try to make it there for afternoon tea....very civilised :)

No for the E&O as it is a bit far
