TAT launches an activity to commemorate H.R.H The Princess Mother

CHIANG RAI, 7 October 2010 (NNT) -- Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is prepared to launch an activity under the theme ‘All Thai Hearts to H.R.H Princess Srinagarindhra, the Princess Mother 2010’ in a bid to commemorate the Princess Mother (Somdej Ya)’s 110 th Birthday Anniversary.

On the occasion of H.R.H Princess Srinagarindhra, the Princess Mother's 110 th Birthday Anniversary, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, and the Sport Association of Thailand have joined hands to organize an activity in celebration of the great event. The activity is aimed at reminding all Thais of what she has done for the betterment of their well-being, their life, and the nation as a whole.

The event will feature a series of exhibitions to commemorate H.R.H The Princess Mother's birthday, shopping places for shopping lovers, and a number of sports competitions. The highlight of the event will include Somdet Ya’s portrait painting competition, the winner of which will be announced on October 9th; the winning portrait will be exhibited at several places including the Doi Tung Palace, the Mae Fah Luang Garden, Hall of Opium-Golden Triangle Park, and Bangkok.
