I'm going to buy a bike for getting around Bangkok.

I have narrowed my choices down to a 1 year old Honda Sonic or a 3 year old Suzuki Step.

I have a full UK bike licence so gears are not a problem.

Does anybody have any info, positive or negative about these bikes?

you do not say why you want it. is it a 7/11 bike or an allround bike

umm i would still go for the sonic

Defiantly get the Sonic, great little bike would look at changing the wheels for a wider set and change the handle bars for a higher pair.

Great fun bike,good to be able to use the gears properly.

I also reccommend the Sonic; Im on my second one now. Never knew you could raise the handlebars though, I'm 6ft 1 but I still find it pretty comfortable.
