Mae Salong To Fang

Featured Replies

Hi there, is there any transport from Mae Salong to Fang and back...how long is the trip..thanks

H,!

Just google it-then you got directions and so-nearly 84 km. I can see-about the transport, I dont know.

Best bet might be a song taew to Kiu Sataa & the police checkpoint (but I'm not sure they have a regular service going to Kiu Sataa).

Then hang out for a bus or regular song taew service Mae Chan - Tha Ton / Fang.

Or even take a motorbike taxi from Doi Mae Salong to Kiu Sataa & wait for a bus / song taew.

Mae Salong - Kiu Sataa = 14.5 kms

Kiu Sataa- Tha Ton = 31.7 kms

Tha Ton - Fang = 24.8 kms.

Hi

Was there (Tha Ton) last week and many times before. U will need to take a combination of songthaews, the first departing 7:20 or 8:20am from Mae Salong. This will take u to Tha Ton, where u will either connect with the Chiang Mai bus or a second songthaew.

The trip needs to be done early morning cos last songthaew is around mid day.

Enjoy

if ur looking to do it the same day, then cannot be done using 'public transport'.

u will need to rent a motor bike or rent a car/driver from My Little Home guesthouse in Mae Salong (sorry u'll need to google it, but they do have a website)
