Touch Screens?

Featured Replies

Anybody here who knows where to get touch screens or modification sets?

TukCom in SriRacha has none...

There are some websites around, mostly in Thai, found a nice one in English, on top of it they were located around my corner (Jomtien/Chonburi) but I symply can't find them, they don't answer e-mail or phone... :o

Will pop down to Panthip on monday, but my guess is that I'll have to buy direct from a specialised shop...

Anybody???

Monty

P.S. would be for a Point of Sales system

Panthip is the go.. let me know how much please.

Ok, went to Panthip yesterday...

Only 1 !!! shop in the whole of Panthip sells touch screens :o

price : 13.3" LCD touch screen : 25680 Baht (excl. VAT)

outrageous!

More interesting:

they sell conversion sets:

5880 Baht for a thouch sensitive glass plate (15")

should be fairly easy for a handy person to put into a regular monitor(Flatron) or a LCD monitor.

They also sell an "add on" touch screen, kind of like those eye-protecting anti glare screens. Tested and works well except less precise due to distance between touch plate and screen... Price 6800 Baht including calibration software...

Fun to use with a lot of regular programs because it works just like a mouse! I just tick on the "add reply" button and off my post goes without grabbing my mouse...

My idea this compares well pricewise with those fancy wireless optical mouses for those who have a couple spare thousands lying around...
