Thai Driver License

Featured Replies

Is it possible to make a thai car driver license without a foreign driver license or foreign international driver license? I have a Thai Non Im "B" visa.

Cheers,

Yes that should be possible, you will just have to do the test and have a certificate of residence from immigration + medical. You will also have to bring a car to do the practical test in despite you don't have a license. This is Pattaya I am talking about, it might differ from place to place.

Best to go to your local driver license office and ask, and maybe do the theory first.

You can go and take the tests.. I'm not positive but I think you are allowed help with the written multiple choice part or they have it in english.

You will need proof of address also, yellow book / letter from embassy / letter from immigration.

I guess it is really difficult. go to a driving school. any driving school and pay for a license. it will cost about 2,500thb.

Jasus.. if you can't manage a multiple choice test and a pratical test that involves the following there is a problem..

1) drive up close to a kirb

2) drive forward through a line of bamboo canes and reverse back through

3) execute driving round a corner

4) hill start on a slight incline

I think the motorbike test only involves driving a figure of 8

totster :D
