Japanese Woman Dies After Fall From North Pattaya Condominium

PATTAYA: -- A 65-year-old Japanese woman died shortly after falling from the 8th floor of a condominium in North Pattaya. Police do not suspect foul play.

Pattaya, 18 December 2010 (PDN): At 9.30 pm on Friday, Lieutenant Wirat Tehtthong, a Banglamung police investigator, was notifed that a person had fallen from a high building in North Pattaya. Police and a rescue team were immediately dispatched to the Siam Painthouse Condominiunm 3, located at 442, Soi 16, Pattaya-Nalua road.

her husband, was crying beside her body and was trying to prevent the media from taking pictures and video.

This tragic attempt at dignity is reported to sound like criticism. Spoiling their photos (but they got them anyway didn't they).

Japanese Resident apparently jumps to her death from North Pattaya Apartment

PATTAYA: -- A Japanese resident of Pattaya appears to have taken her own life by jumping from her 8th floor apartment in North Pattaya. Late on Friday Night, Police and Rescue Services were called to the Siam Penthouse III Condominium in Soi 16 off the Naklua Road and inspected the body of Mrs. Noboko Wachida aged 65. Her Husband, Mr. Yoshikasu Wachida aged 67 was in attendance and appeared angry at the large media presence and the fact that rescue workers would not cover the body of his wife.

My condolences to the husband and those left behind. Suicide, if that was the cause of death, is very difficult for the survivors to live with.

about 2 seconds after falling i would imagine, on impact with the floor

sorry, my mistake, just read the report and she was still alive for a while, thats no mean feat after a fall from that height.
