i will be submitting a fiance visa application for settelement on my visit in sept.

as previous threads have said about the proofs etc i have a mobile phone itemised bill with text messages on it but use phone cards as its cheaper for actual calls- every day i mite add

i also have got my thai partner on my credit card as an additional card holder so she now has her own card in her name- the main reason i got it was i was pissed off cos of my banks transfer charges ie £30 every time-thanks alliance an leicester- not.

will this be able to be used as useful proof of relationship???????

i will also provide my bank transfers as proofs as well for the previous transfers

Obviously, sending her money goes to proving the relationship. But putting her on your credit card!!!!!!! You obviously trust her, and I hope she is worthy of that trust.

One quick and cheap way of sending regular money to Thailand is to open a Nationwide Flex account and send her the ATM card. The Nationwide do not charge for using ATMs abroad, and the exchange rate is very favourable.

I only had phone cards when we submitted the Settlement visa application this year, I supplied them (100) with the documents and there was no quiery regarding them.

Best of luck

thanks for the replies guys

i am due to go into the nationwide tomorrow to open an account with them.

the credit card only has a very small limit on it which i can well cover but yes i trust her but common sense also plays a part with gettin only a few hundred pounds limit.

i have bank transfer statements for about a year now so that should help a lot

i also take pics evertime i am over so they should be all the proofs i will need tho if anyone knows of any more that prove thier worth then let me know.

is the waiting time for a interview still about 12 weeks?

and i have 1 last query- we will be submitting our application when i am there in sept with the 2 files one original and one copies. but what if i am not able to attend the interview in the 12 weeks later??

how does that work exactly??

Sparky,

Even if you were to be in Thailand on the date of the interview, you wouldn't be spoken to. So, ultimately, whether you are in attendance or not has no bearing upon the outcome of the application.

Scouse.

thanks for that scouse- what i am worried about more tho is the original files that need to be produced- will these be looked at on the first visit to apply for the interview and then they keep the copies.

my point is i wont be giving them all my originals to keep for up to 12 weeks will i??
