Visas

Featured Replies

hello again,

i am applying for a visa for my thai wife to "visit"me in holland, if you read my last thread , dutch visas you will know what i mean.

i have been asked to supply 3 documents, photocopies of passport, residence, and company registration, verified and signed by dutch lawyer.

this i have done.

my question is , to save time , could i scan these documents and e mail them to my wife so she can present them with her application.

she goes up to bkk on monday.

finally ,the marriage certificate.

we have a thai marriage certificate, authenticatedby the thai ministry, the dutch immigration dept in holland want the english translation of the m/c stamped by the dutch embassy in bkk, because i am a resident of holland.

could both these services(visa and m/c) be done at the same time, or must the m/c be stamped andthen the visaapplied for.

hope to hear from you soon

I don't pretend to know the processes of the Dutch embassy, but I don't see why you couldn't undertake both tasks at the same time.

With regard to the documents, try e-mailing them and if the embassy objects, then you can post them.

Cheers,

Scouse.

thanks scouse.

the embassy will not exept anything but originals, exept for the pages in my passport which were photocopied and signed by a notaris.

the m/c can be done at the same time as the visa application.

so now everything is in the post(fed ex) and she should be over here in the next 3 weeks.

i guess in 4 weeks time i will be wondering if this was all worth while.
