Ais Sims

Featured Replies

After being on hold to AIS support for 42 mins and 37 mins I give up ! (on calls that I pay for using a AIS sim). I am looking at getting a new number, I want AIS coverage.

The two sim plans are :

'MAX' 99b

'Freedom' 50b

I am trying to find out the differences. Going back several years ago, the cheaper one was for kids and you cold not turn off those very annoying messages sent about 15 times a day, not sms, but ones sent that make the screen of my phone light up and flatten the battery in a day comped to 3 days normally.

Back then the better one was 150b. Does anyone know what the current differences are?

What does EC in front of the number mean? eg, EC 08 12345678

Thanks.

After that, I'd switch to DTAC

Let's move this over to the communications forum. :)

Problem is, primary sim has been DTAC, I have no bitch with DTAC and they are much better for global roaming when out of country, but, I am prob in the 1% of the population where I get effected by "crap" DTAC coverage, hence AIS is the answer. AIS is simply brutal, I agree, but it's my best option coverage wise.

[EDIT] "crap" I mean, I am just shit out of luck I think with very poor coverage with a place I live often unfortuntaly.

Believe that refers to the SIM's area of origin, e.g. Bangkok SIMs show BK before the number. Does that make sense for the area you bought the SIM?

You should probably focus less on the SIM and more on the calling plan. Any SIM can have any calling plan associated with it. You can change calling plans quite easily. You can dial *777, follow the prompts to review current calling plan and/or change. You can also manage your calling plan with eService.

You can review the various SIMs, calling plans and promotions on line. http://www.ais.co.th/12call/en/sim-card.html There seems to be more than enough information there? (click on "more detail" for each SIM)

Max 99

Freedom SIM

Perhaps if you could detail your issue(s), I honestly can't tell what they are from the origonal post, and your calling patterns/requirements further recommendations may follow.
