The Good Guys & The Bad Guys

Featured Replies

Can we tell the difference or not?

It's a matter of perspective, the terms "good" and "bad" are subjective. There is no universal moral, nor is there a universal evil.

Terrorist/rebel or freedom fighter? Invader or liberator? Heroic government agent or insidious spy? Mass murder or collateral damage?

Ted Bundy and Charles Manson were just misunderstood.

So were President Truman and Air Vice Marshall Harris.

Perhaps not a matter of perspective, but a matter of social conditioning and engineering.

Both....perspective comes, for most of us, from social conditioning.

Very few of society had the insight of Sidartha or Plato to have a perspective not brought about by upbringing.

It remains though, that "good" and "evil" are subjective with no universal examples.

Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats

Too noble to neglect

Deceived me into thinking

I had something to protect

Good and bad, I define these terms

Quite clear, no doubt, somehow

Ah, but I was so much older then

I’m younger than that now
