September but I guess the locals can give you more accurate forecast.

Usually it is May until at least until October or November. But we are having thunder storms now, which is unusual... See 30 year rainfall and temperatures here: 30 year averages

Usually rainy season starts about Songkran (late April) and lasts until late November. But these few months have been most unusual with some rain throughout the so called dry season of December - April. Right this minute it's rainy heavily in Kata.

.. and it's raining hard in Patong right now, too...

Beautiful day earlier, but it's pouring down now.

Yep, rainy season apparently started around 3 nights ago in Patong. ermm.gif

We have had some weird weather this past year. We had an El Nino last year at this time into June causing the ocean temperature to rise to the 30º plus. It was followed by La Nina which has caused a lot of flooding in Australia. The La Nina is sticking around, which is good for the coral. The last thing we need is a return to El Nino. See the tecnhical report here: Technical ENSO Update. But the real rainy season doesn't start for a couple of months, historically. See my link at my post above for the 30 year temperature and rainfall averages...

Agree that the weather has been really weird lately.

Unless my memory is faulty, the rainy season ended v late and, it looks as if its started v early this year

Edit - I'm not convinced its my memory as I only had to water the garden for a short period of time.

No, you're right.

Usually, my lawn goes brown in mid-January. Hasn't gone brown at all this year.

Also, there is a small stream at the bottom of my garden. It is still flowing, which I have never seen in March during 10 years of living here.

It usually dries up late January, early February.
