Agendas

Featured Replies

My agendas.

1.Defense of America when someone writes an anti American post for reasons that are more than 50% anti American as opposed to the being anti the action written about.

2.Bar girls are not that bad and good girls are not that good.

3.Women are pretty much the same unless they live in Thailand.

4.Gay guys should be a bit more accepting of people with differing views.

5.Old guys dating women of legal age is OK.

6.Religion is the root of all (or most) evil.

7.People who say they have a lot of morals usually don't have many.

8.All things being equal experience outweighs youthful enthusiasm.

9.A man with one woman or a woman with one man is usually jealous of a man with many women or a woman with many men.

10.Most people lie about number 9.

3. What about Eskimo women....or Zulu? Surely cultures have an affect on everyone.

4. There are quite a few non-gay guys with blinkered, narrow minded outlooks...even a few that frequent this forum.

6. the root of much unhappiness I would say.

No, no, no. I know what my agendas are. I don't really care what you think about them. The thread is about YOUR agendas. I tried to be honest about mine. What are YOUR agendas?????? Be as honest as you can.

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, I should have been clearer in my OP.

I was wondering if the posters on TV could be honest and state their agendas.

Some defend gay rights. Some defend Israeli rights. Some defend Muslims. Some defend women's rights.

Others are misogynists and others are anti misogynist.

Some are sexist and others discriminate against people because of age or weight or color or national origin or sexual orientation.

I wondered if they could be honest in stating that.

Harcourt was honest in admitting he discriminates against older people. That's good he was being honest.

But you didn't list agendas.....you listed opinions.

Or are you saying you have a goal of straightening (excuse the pun) gay guys who are narrow minded? A goal of proving that old guys dating young girls is ok? etc?

Go with the flow Harcourt and don't get caught up with semantics. Fox news has an agenda? Right? I think you get what I mean. Opinion and Agenda in my post have very similar meanings. Don't try and derail the thread, please!

Give us your agenda, it must be more than just age discrimination.

OK...lets not quibble about "agendas" or stated opinions.

I have not admitted I discriminate against oldies.......I have admitted a personal taste in the support of young girls with regard to old lechers. ;)

If I was to actually have an agenda, I suppose it would be to try to educate the ignorant and to open the eyes of the willfully blind.

Is this anything like the teen age girl who, in the Miss America contest, claims she will work for World Peace?

No, chucky. Back to bed now. There's a good chap. I'll call the nurse to make you a warm milk.

I've only one. To critically challenge and question the fanciful ideals of eurocentrism and Western civilisation.

That's what I am talking about. When a post is made about a great night had by an old guy and a 18 year old women you post how sick that is by most peoples standards. That is an agenda.

When a male poster posts that all women lie some other posters with an anti misogynist agenda feel necessary to refute that claim.

You have a bias against old men with young women and I have a bias against young men who have a bias against old men with young women. Nothing wrong with that I just wondered if people were honest enough to admit it or even realized it existed.

Post something disparaging to gay people and the same posters pop up to dispute that disparaging remark. Or on the other hand some people always post disparaging remarks about gay people. I was not debating the right or wrong of the issue only, do people know they have an issue.

Agenda question. 1. Do you educate more ignorant, A. Americans B, Germans C. Australians D British ?

2. What nationality do you find most guilty of being willfully blind?

Answer the questions honestly.

Not ethnocentrism in general but only eurocentrism?

What about question #2.

When I first came to OTB I saw mostly 3-4 lefty posters congratulating themselves over the same ignorant lies about the USA in Afghanistan and Israel that they love to spew without letting facts or logic get in their way. I decided then I wasn't going to just let their "inaccurate" posts go unchallenged. So I guess that would be one of my agendas here.

1.Defense of America when someone writes an anti American post for reasons that are more than 50% anti American as opposed to the being anti the action written about.

Yeah Mark *Yawn*, we had noticed.

Americans seem to be more ignorant IMHO:(Generalising obviosly) Less worldly and with a smaller general knowledge base, but I don't delude myself that I can educate them.

As for trying to educate people...I don't actually have a racial bias.

As for willfully blind.....The Americans come across as such, but to be fair, the demographics and subjects brought up here would make them prominant in that regard.

Over the past 17 years I've lived in Eastern Europe, SE Asia and the UAE and the Americans (and Canucks) are generally more educated and have better jobs than the other native English speakers I've run across. I've probably known five Brits/Aussies for every American I've met over that time.

Interesting you chose to voice an anti American sentiment instead of answer the topic. I guess that is an answer of sorts.

A question not a comment. Harcourt have you lived in many different countries?

Some people feel answering questions is some sort of a trap. I've noticed in OTB the posters leaning right tend to answer direct questions and those leaning left tend to avoid them - like a politician would.

I didn't see this as a question at all, rather an opportunity for Mark to put his had on his heart and pledge his legiance to his flag (again). The Yoo Ess Off Ey is almighty and nobody can say anything about them that isn't absolutely glowing blah blah blah.

Has anybody mentioned WWII yet?

Response to Moonrakers,

My gosh Mr. Moon 1. I posted 10 things only one had to do with nationality and that is what you zeroed in on. 2. I posted 10 things not to elicit a response to those things only to give you an example of agendas that effect my posting. Not your posting. I don't care about your views on my agendas. I asked what are yours? Am I making myself clear. I don't want to discuss anything I believe. I want to find out what you believe in. I want to find out what motivates your posting. To be fair I told you about me. Now you tell me about you. Can't you read? Or is it simply your agenda not to read what another posts only to go for the jugular of national identity? If so simply state that. I don't care. Up to you.

Now if you are afraid to tell us what motivates your posting, that I can understand.

Are you completely unbiased? Does everything interest you in the same degree? Do you key in on certain topics and have a belief system that effects your views?

Are you completely unbiased?

If I remember correctly, he does not seem overly fond of immigrants to the UK. :D

I forgot to mention of course it was another opportunity for you to talk about your sex life,! And as has already been mentioned, you stated opinions and did not ask questions.

My motives for posting?

I don't really have any, why should everybody have a pre-defined set of motives to post anything. If I see something that I feel like posting on, I will. If not, I won't. Like going to the pub, I have no set agenda other than see friends and chat.

I don't care about your views on my agendas

So why the bloody hell did you post them on a public forum then? Do you now get to dictate how others respond?

I asked what are yours? Am I making myself clear

Again, who died and made you boss. Where on Earth is this arrogance coming from?

Are you completely unbiased?

If I remember correctly, he does not seem overly fond of immigrants to the UK. :D

?

What has actually gotten under my skin mark is the sleaze, again.

I do just try to ignore it but you got me on a bad day, so I bit.

It's not just the sleaze and the fact that the vast majority of us just don't want to hear about you rattling on about sex all the time, it's the way you try to defend yourself. Yet again you manage to suggest that your seedy ways are the way to go and everybody else is somehow stupid or lying. That you are all wise and anybody else in a monogamous relationship is somehow stupid.

Yeuuughhhhh.

You really do give me the creep sometimes.
