a man with a plan Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I have been searching the web and asking around ofr ages now but to no avail. I need to ship my person things back to England (Great Yarmouth) from thailand (preferably from the Laem Chabung port). I can find shipping companies - but can't seem to find anything on their routes, then when I email them for details I don't get a response. Surely someone must have some experience in this? I'm not sure that this is the right section to be posting this question but it seems suitable being as it is to due with migration. Can any one point me in the right direction?
GuestHouse Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I've moved in and out of Thailand on three occasions (six moves), we have always used Schenker, first rate service and they have never lost or damaged anything or ours - we've move the whole house contents each time.
cmsally Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 When you enquire at a shipping companythey should be able to tell you the port/destination of the shipment. In UK from Thailand always seems to be Southampton. Worth asking them if any other ports available. There should be someone at the shipping company who knows this info. if not they are more likely just an agent rather than a proper company that is handling the shipping. Have used V Pack, Schenker, Pioneer with no problems (from Chiang Mai).
MakTB Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Hi, do anyone know any services on Koh Samui to ship a load back to blighty? Also what's all this talk about adding tax on anything electrical? What if I brought the electrics back home and just returning home with them, do I need to prove this? Cheers
