Deedial

Featured Replies

Looked at one of the ads that popped up on a TV page for DeeDial VoIP service.

Anyone here already subscribed and a regular user?

I have used www.deedial.com for several years now. I just use my Thai cellphone, it remembers your number and is totally hassle free and CHEAP !

You can load it with baht from a Family Mart or online from the website. About 70 satang per minute Thailand to USA. I have never understood why

everyone does not use this...I think deedial needs some help in the advertising department. Try it. Also if you live in the states take a look at

www.nobel.com Same sort of setup as deedial. I have nobel.com in the states for several years as well. Nobel.com is about one cent per minute and

when my time available gets a bit low it takes $10 from my PayPal account....

It really varies a lot by country and in some cases the cost savings can be significant. (You should the use dial-back feature to avoid any local calling charges: I pay 1.25 baht/min. for all mobile-originated local calls here.)

Rates to U.S.A. (Continental 48 States) : DeeDial

0.70 baht per minute (calling a fixed line number)

0.70 baht per minute (calling a mobile number)

But for many countries the fixed-line termination fees seem "fixed" regardless of service provider (this may be a remnant of government regulations, or long-ago negotiated agreements):

Rates to U.K. : DeeDial

0.99 baht per minute (calling a fixed line number)

7.00 baht per minute (calling a mobile number)

CatPhonenet is 2/6, 009 is 7/7, True 00600 is 1/6, True 006 is 5/6

Reports here over the years have been generally positive on DeeDial, I tried a DeeDial card (purchased in advance for a visitor) and it worked fine, VoIP is VoIP is VoIP.

The missus used Deedial a lot and then changed to ZayHi which also seems to be good and works the same way. (Non VoIP service)
