If Dec 2012 is the end then I would expect things to get ugly from here on in.

I do not think things would go from peachy to black in a day.

Perhaps things like Japan could be the new reality....again who knows.

I do remember his end of the world prediction was for a blue turban that comes out of the Middle East

There are some circles suggesting this date would signify a "NEW START", less an end.

The Mayan's never did predict that the world would end on that date anyway.
