Yuri Gagarin is a real hero.

In my humble opinion, some sort of special power is required. It could be one someone had from birth, or the possibility is there that some sort of horrible accident, possibly involving toxic chemicals or a type of super radiation most likely used in a secret government experiment could transform a otherwise normal human being into a kind of hero, of sorts.
